It had been a couple of weeks since the first day of school. Nothing special happened during those weeks, just the usual. As I guessed, I didn’t talk to Luke again nor saw him again. I didn’t make any friends during that time either. Sometimes I tried to, but it was really hard to socialize with these people. Everyone had their friends; after all, freshman year was the year when you found friends. During lunch time, I went to the parking lot, which was ample, and skated, while listening to music, there until the bell rang. It was bizarre, all the emptiness, not a person in sight. I felt relaxed as if there was nothing to worry about, not even the math test I had during the next period, which I knew I’d fail by the way, mattered.
